Internet of Things

Internet of Things is a new paradigm that has transformed conventional livelihood into a sophisticated lifestyle. The 'IoT' term is a term about Internet of Things which often used to describe the giant network of physical items that are embedded with sensor, actuators, software and other technologies to connect and transmit the data with other systems or devices.

ThingSpeak

ThingSpeak is an open-source platform to stored the collected data, performed data analysis and visualizations in the cloud and develop Internet of Things applications. The data are gathered from the sensors using HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) over the Internet. ThingSpeak stores the sensor data from 'IoT application' and the output data is displayed in graphical forms at the web level.

Weather Monitoring Using IoT

Weather forecasting is one of the science and technology applications to predict the atmosphere of a certain location. A weather station is a device embedded with sensors gathers weather information from the location and transmits it to the Thingspeak cloud. It can be utilized to evaluate climatic conditions to give weather forecasts based on the collected data and to study the weather and climate. It collects the weather parameters measurements such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, precipitation amounts and wind direction from the sensors. Then, it is shared to the people around the world when they can access to acquire real-time weather data anytime, anywhere.
